When you're on your own wiki, you can add a new page by clicking the "Add a New Page" button below the page navigation toolbox to the left of the screen. At wikiSandbox, we don't allow you to create your own pages so you'll have to edit the Sandboxes we have made for you to use and try out.

Locate the EasyEdit icon just above the title of the page. Click on it to enter editing mode. Pages that have a small lock on the EasyEdit icon, as the right image shows, can only be edited by Moderators and Administrators. Important pages are usually locked to prevent inexperienced users from messing them up.

This is the EasyEdit toolbar. It's where you'll find all of your tools, similar to the toolbar found in Microsoft word. The first buttons look like back and forth arrows. Their function is exactly what you would assume. You use them to undo and re-do steps that you made while editing. To the right of these buttons are the options for changing the font. The boxes that say "Normal," "Arial," "12pt," and are all drop down menus that show more fonts, colors, and sizes to customize your text. This is a headerThis is a sub-headerYou should use headers for titles of pages or entire sections of pages. You'll notice that you cannot change the size, color, or font typeface for headers and sub-headers. This is because headers are intended to be titles, not part of a paragraph. Sub headers only vary from headers in terms of font size. For fonts, wetpaint chose to use six of the most commonly used typefaces. These six fonts can work for anything, whether it's titles, banners, or plain paragraph writing. The font I am writing in now is called Arial. Arial is an easy to read font that is becoming more and more common on the web with the new web surfing capabilities of many smart phones. Garamond is a fancier font that was trademarked by Apple in their ad campaigns. Courier looks very similar to the standard computer font of older machines. Helvetica is slightly narrower than the Arial font. Impact is a great font to use when you really need to get your point across. Times, also known as times new roman, is the standard printing font for both newspapers and essays. Adjusting font size is fairly strait forward. 7pt. 10pt. 12pt. 14pt. 18pt. 24pt. 36pt.And so is bolding, italicizing, and underlining.
