The Starlight Orphanage Mystery
A little face peeked around the corner to make the coast was clear;
the face belonged to a little boy named Samuel. And he had just escaped from the barber and naturally he was after him but he'd managed to lose him by ducking into the washroom, which lucky for him was empty. He had hid in the closet when the barber had searched in the room, and once again it was luck that had saved him. Luck had nothing to do with it, said a little voice in his ear. "I know Angie!" Samuel hissed, "Just try to be a little quieter!" he said peering through the crack of the closet door. As she hid beneath the folds of his shirt.
Angie was his fairy.
You see all children have a fairy, most never get to meet theirs.
But Samuel was one special boy who got to, and she had stayed with him ever since. And now he slipped through the door and quietly made his way to the cafeteria where his friends were having lunch.
He would soon join them at their usual table, the one by the window on the left side. It was also the closest to the desserts. Which was quite convenient for Samuel and his friends; they were all very fond of pastries.
As all young boys are.
He could see his friends’ all-chatting pleasantly and Cameron at the head.
And next to Cameron was Kyle, who was ten and the same age as most of the boys. He loved two play tricks on people which most of the boys did. Then sitting by him was Bradley, the shy one of the group but, very bright according to the clan. Then was Max who knew every room and cub- by hole in the entire orphanage; he had been there the longest. Across from him sat Aaron, who is my favorite and is a very smart little boy when it comes to school (and if you needed help with your homework Aaron was the person to go to). And every one respected him as an honored member of the club.
Next to him was Alfie who was the tag-a-long of the group and he rarely did his part. In fact he wasn't officially apart of the clan but he considered himself a member.
Then Cameron caught sight of Sam (as his friends called him), and smiled one of his light-up-the-room smiles.
"What goes on Sam?" asked Cameron who was his best friend. “Nothing much Cam.” Samuel said returning his usual greeting with his usual response. Grinning they both embraced briefly, before all the boys noticed their visitor and greeted him accordingly. But by then the cafeteria was accommodating more children by the minute! Which called for supervisors, naturally Mrs. Billingsworth wouldn't miss this for the world.
It seemed her life calling was to make our lives worse; she is the main supervisor of the orphanage... Well technically she is.
She really likes you to think she is but we all know who the real leader is.
His name is Mr. Sanders and he is very nice. All the children liked him a lot. But he disappeared just about three years ago.
And no one has seen him since, and then his Daughter Mrs. Billingsworth and her husband (Mr. Billingsworth) took over the Starlight Orphanage.
After that our lives changed drastically, there was no more story time, every other afternoon.
