DescriptionSTONE SOUP THEATRE
PROUDLY PRESENTS
“OUTSIDE THE BOX 2008”
ORIGINAL ONE ACT PLAY FESTIVAL

Stone Soup Theatre presents its second original one act play festival, ‘Outside the Box,’ Thursdays through Sundays, May 22 – June 1. Ten northwest playwrights wrestle with characters that live, or are influenced by situations, outside traditional mores - be it physical, mental, spiritual. In The Genius Room by Nicola Pearson, God is getting in the way of a technician protecting a brain under construction from stray bread crumbs. In Carl Nelson’s Ollie’s Day Out, A crazy Ollie, 84, wanders away from his assisted care facility to a bar where he tries to pick up a young Niki, who happens to be waiting for her boyfriend. In PJ Perry’s The Enemy We Know, as a recruit prepares to join his nation's battle, he takes a hard look at his adversary, and finds himself targeted. A proper Victorian man accuses his brother of murder in Lyn Coffin’s The Only Pretty Thing In The Room. In Dave Tucker’s Last Respects, old high school buddies attempt to write the eulogy of their dearly departed “friend,” Frank. When one man arrives at a woman’s apartment with an urgent warning for her, he finds another man asleep in her bed in She’s Not Here by LA Herberlein. J.D. talks Juliet into doing the right thing in J.D. Salinger Is My God by Caitlin Gilman. In Life Is A Bowl Of Oatmeal, a pantomime by PJ Perry, he traces the path of two lives from birth to death over a warm bowl of cereal. Ultramax 9000, by physical comedian Bill Robison, captures one man’s unexpected confrontation with creative enlightenment.
FEATURED WRITERS
James Bell, Lyn Coffin, LA Herberlein, Wendy Joseph, Caitlin Gilman, Carl Nelson, Nicola Pearson, PJ Perry, Dave Tucker &Bill Robison

Tickets: $10.00 Fridays – Sundays $5.00 Thursdays

Performances: May 22 – June 1, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Sunday Matinees at 3 p.m.

Location: Stone Soup Theatre, 4035 Stone Way N, Seattle WA 98103

www.stonesouptheatre.com
info@stonesouptheatre.com

Reservations: Tickets may be purchased in advance through Brownpapertickets.com Or 800-838-3006 or Stone Soup Office: (206) 633-1883

DescriptionMy name is Rebecca. I'm the new Art Director for Fuel Coffee.

Our Wallingford location is participating in the Wallingford Art Walk, the first Friday of every month starting May 7. We'd like to diversify the Art Walk by featuring short films in our coffeeshop. (There is a nice space in the back where we can hang a screen.)

Do you have a movie you'd like to share with the public? Please let me know! I'm especially looking for narratives, art films, and music videos as opposed to documentaries, but no matter the genre, if you believe your film could fit a public art walk event, I want to hear about it!
