As God is love and true love can only be found in line with God's (Yahweh aka Jesus being the Son and I AM of) truth, anything outside His truth is not sinless but in fact rebellion against the one who created and made means for us to live in love and fellowship with Him. This being possible only through the redeeming blood of Jesus the Christ. Self gratifcation on the otherhand in that it is lust is contrary to truth and to God's loving purpose for us.
